2017 Arielle Peters Photography Workshop

September 28, 2017

You guys!! This blog post is going to be so special to my heart because it’s something that I never knew for sure if I’d be able to post about!! So imagine me behind the screen with a big ol’ smile on my face letting you know about it all…

Sooo last Sunday we invited these 12 lovely ladies into the first ever Arielle Peters Photography Workshop Experience! This has been something that I’ve been dreaming about for a couple years now and the fact that it actually came and went is SO crazy!!

16 hours of educational content, a styled shoot with the areas leading vendors, headshots, a candlelit dinner and lots of great conversations and goodies made this better than I could have ever dreamt it to be!

I’ve been shooting weddings now for seven years and after a lot of years of doing it on my own and trying to just “figure things out”, I realized I needed to start getting educated in this business. Education and community have been the catalysts in growing my business to where it is today for realllll!!

It was so fun hearing the girls say things like “Wow! I wasn’t sure if I could do this, but now I know I can!” or “This is totally changing the direction of my business!” It makes all the hours of preparation worth it (and believe me, there were A TON) knowing that each of these ladies can walk away with a solid foundation to grow their business and get their lives back!!

I’m also SO excited to announce the next dates for 2018’s upcoming workshop!!! Drum roll please….. March 23rd through 24th!!! Woohoo!!

So if you’re tired of feeling like your photography business isn’t where you want it to be, if you want a clear focused direction on how to gain and cater to your ideal dream clients and if you want to be able to get off your computer screen and stop editing and start spending time with family and friends, well then I have a secret for you….. this workshop is for you!!!

Last workshop was sold out, so make sure to grab your seat before they’re gone!!

Heck yes, I want in on the next workshop!!!

Check out all the behind the scenes below, including some sneaks from the beautiful styled shoot, of our three days together!!

Sunday evening we welcomed the ladies in for some sweet treats, fishbowl (it’s an amazing group game ya’ll need to play!) and some fun fellowship!! This definitely set the stage for a great time the following two days!! Couldn’t have done any of this without my dream team ladies to the left, Krissy (with Simply Be So Events) and Steph (with Abbitt Collective)!!

Welcome boxes with personalized journals for each of the ladies!! Thanks to Steph who spent so long on these journals and all the pretty name tags!! Pretty sure most of them didn’t have any pages left to journal in by the end of the workshop! Also, these amazing cookies from Sweet Melissa and the goodie bags that had her amazing caramels in them were a HUGE hit!!

Day one! Sessions begin!

Soooommeeetimes I got a little passionate about what I was saying! 😉

Totally not use to seeing my hair be so light!! haha (random side note)

Then we headed over to the Bread & Chocolate in Goshen, where our amazing vendors had put on such an awesome styled shoot for us!! Steph’s letting all the ladies know here how she arranges our styling boards on our wedding days!

Broke into three different stations, detail shots, couples station and tablescape (reception table) station!

Get it guuurlllsss!!!

We had already gone over a bunch of shooting tips and tricks so it was so fun to see the ladies put some of these into practice with our beautiful bride and groom!

Some sneaks from the styled shoot below! Look at that hair and makeup by Something Blue Stylists, that dress by Something Blue Bridal (we had a something blue theme going apparently haha) and those florals by Be Married!!! So beautiful!

This amazing cake was made by the super talented Courtney with C’est La Vie Cakes! And the invitation suite was to die for by Sarah B. Calligraphy!!

Monday evening Steph and Krissy set up another table fit for a styled shoot, except this one we got to enjoy an Olive Garden menu by candlelight!!! Definitely one of my favorite parts of the workshop!

Day two! Sessions 5 + 6!

Headshot time!!!

Mason Geiger joined us a bit for some behind the scenes promotional video footage! Can’t wait to show you this later!

Headshots and photos were done so the hair finally went up! 😉 ha! Session 7, 8 + 9!

Fun little goodie bags for the long rides home!

Miss these ladies already!

Thanks again for everyone who made this workshop so incredibly amazing and who made the styled shoot a dream!
