It’s not everyday you get to be a part of a wedding for high school sweethearts. I must say there’s times that I’m skeptical of the whole dating in high school thing, but then you meet people like Jordan + Kaylie and see how truly “sweet” being high school sweethearts is. Going through a lot of life and personal changes and still being committed to each other through it all is definitely an accomplishment and makes for a super romantic story!

These two had waited a long time to make the ultimate commitment to one another and finally were able to do so on June 17th! Watching the emotion of the day between Kaylie’s mom and sister helping put on her dress, the bridesmaids reaction to seeing her all put together, and Jordan and Kaylie’s reaction for their first look and walking down the isle was priceless! That is part of what makes this my ultimate dream job. I get to experience these moments AND help my awesome bride and grooms keep those memories forever! So that someday when Jordan sits down with their grandkids and tells them about how beautiful Kaylie was and how seeing her for the first time made him cry, they don’t have to just try to imagine it but they can (in a way) be there in the moment with them through the photos. I’ll always remember Jordan telling Kaylie, when they finally saw each other for the first look, how his heart started beating so fast once he heard her dress swooshing against the pavement as she walked towards him. And then seeing them both sit in the moments together of the day that they had been waiting for for so long. It was so beautiful!

It was also so special how overjoyed EVERY single person was for them! It’s as if everyone had been waiting and longing for this day just like they had. Wedding days can definitely be a humbling experience when you have so many friends and family that surround you in support and love for you both on that day. They are definitely blessed with some great people!

I can’t wait for you all to experience their beautiful day at The Blue Heron where their adventure began!
