Shannon + Kevin

April 17, 2018

Life has a way of bringing people together… Shannon + Kevin’s journey might have started with a random meet up, but nothing about them being together has been random. Through all the different cities, dreams, schooling and jobs, these two have made one thing clear… they’re definitely meant to be husband and wife and do this journey hand in hand!

I had the privilege of finally meeting up with these two last week in Detroit, Michigan for their engagement shoot. The best part of the whole shoot (other than the dozens of laughs we shared) is the fact that I don’t have to wait to long to hang out with them again!! This Saturday they’ll tie the knot at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in South Bend, Indiana!! It’s not the norm that we do the engagement shoot the week before the wedding, but I’m pretty sure it might be my new favorite new thing because every-time I leave a shoot, it’s a bit of a bummer that we have to wait 4+ months to see each other again!

This was my first time to Detroit and I have a new FAVORITE spot that I can’t wait for you all to see! The James Scott Memorial Fountain made all of my white-stone photography dreams come true! It sits at the point of Belle Isle and makes for a Washington DC feel! After that, we headed over to one of their favorite architectural spots in town, the Michigan Central Station! You’ll see why it was a favorite down below! Finally, we ended our time at The Belt which is a revamped alleyway in Detroit that’s a super fun, outdoor spot for anyone who lives downtown!

Shannon + Kevin, you both are so easy to be around and make whoever you’re with feel like lifelong friends! I’m so thankful to be a part of this time with you guys and CANNOT wait to celebrate you finally becoming husband and wife SOON!! Cheers to only 3 more days before you get to share each other’s last name!

Enjoy some of my favorites from their engagement shoot below!
