“…Inside the garage were strings hung with pictures and every letter I’ve written him over the years, Christmas lights in the shape of a heart on the ground, and a HUGE sign that said: “Will you marry me?” He brought me to the middle of the heart and said some really sweet things (most of which neither of us can remember at all) and then got down on one knee. Then he surprised me with both our families waiting inside to greet us and congratulate us. Happiest day of my life…so far at least!”

I have found in my time as a photographer that the best wedding day photos start with true love stories like this. My time with Mr. + Mrs. Obert was no exception!

When I first met Katie + Daniel, one thing was so apparent: these two’s friendship and care for one another! This past Saturday was so much more than just a beautiful day with pretty flowers and nice dresses…. it was a celebration of a couple who had decided to commit to one another through the good and the bad for their entire lives! Throughout the whole day, all the emotions were a testament to how serious this covenant is to them!

Venue and Location

Katie + Daniel said “I do” in Trinity Church located in South Bend, Indiana. The celebration then made their way to Sts. Peter and Paul Social Hall, also located in South Bend, where friends and family joined the happy couple in dancing, laughter, and joy!

I’m so thankful to have been there at the beginning of this journey for them and I cannot wait to see how each year that passes brings a new sense of love and commitment between Katie + Daniel!
