I first met (and fell in love with) Jessica when she was a bridesmaid in Emily + Cory Smith’s wedding back in August of 2016! So when I heard from her a year later about being a part of her and her fiancé’s wedding, I was so excited! Not only is it so fun to do weddings for past bridesmaids because of the relationship already being there, but this one was going to be in Madison, Wisconsin and I had never been there before! So needless to say all around my answer was yes, yes and YES to being a part of this bride’s wedding day photos!

When I got the chance to finally hang out with her and Patrick for their engagement session, it was just icing on the cake! These two have called each other friends for so long that to see them finally be able to enjoy that time as fiancés and now finally as HUSBAND and WIFE was so fun! Their joy and ease together is something most everyone would notice about these two lovebirds!

We headed up Friday night and made a whole weekend out of the trip which allowed us just enough time to see how incredibly beautiful this city is! From the breathtaking capital to the quaint hometown feel that the Saturday morning farmers market gives off, this place was captivating!

Venue and Location

The wedding day was gorgeous, from start to finish! The ceremony took place at the Monona Terrace in downtown Madison, Wisconsin. The city gave an ideal backdrop for this couple’s dreamy city wedding scape! After the ceremony, the party made its way to The Madison Club, also located in Madison, Wisconsin. The reception space was so clean and classic; a perfect compliment to this couple’s dreamy wedding day!

Driving home Sunday made me realize how incredibly thankful I am to be doing a job that allows me to travel to beautiful new places and (even better) to be a part of these couples wedding days… one of THE happiest days of their lives!
