Mr. + Mrs. Karnes | A Spring Wedding at Journeyman Distillery in Three Oaks, Michigan

May 10, 2019

“In sickness and in health, until death do we part.”

Tom + Megan learned VERY early in marriage exactly what this kind of loving devotion looks like. Let me explain…

This big wedding-day celebration was actually suppose to happen on August 31st of last year! But, unfortunately, in a very unexpected turn of events, Tom found himself in the hospital, unconscious, a month before the wedding after a severe motorcycle accident. Megan sat by his side as they waited for the doctors to tell them the next steps and to tell them if Tom was even going to make it. With multiple surgeries and quite a bit of rehab ahead, they had to make the tough decision of postponing the wedding only a few weeks out.

However, as August 31st approached, they decided to not wait any longer! With Tom in a wheelchair and Megan willingly taking on the role of new wife and round-the-clock helper, they said their vows in front of close family and friends!

So although on May 3rd they shared their thousandth kiss as husband and wife instead of their “first” at the altar, this day honestly couldn’t have been anymore special! We saw two people who have already walked through 8 months as husband and wife, went through the “in sickness and in health” part and came close to the “until death do we part” but still chose each other. Daily choosing each other.

Their wedding was a celebration of what has already been and what’s to come!

Congrats to the BEAUTIFUL Mr. + Mrs. Karnes!

A huge thanks to all the amazing vendors who made this day possible!
