Cody + Aly passed each other in the halls often, but it wasn’t until gym class that they realized there was something more there. Must have been the really awesome gym shorts that finally put the attraction level over the top 😉

Right away their relationship was tested. After asking Aly to be his girlfriend, Cody had to leave for college to go play basketball. Apparently though that wasn’t stopping anything because 9 years later, after lots of long distance calls and traveling to see each other, their hearts only grew fonder for one another!

So after some planning, choosing a gorgeous ring and coordinating with a rodeo clown (bet ya didn’t think I was gunna bring that into the mix) Cody popped the question! And Aly excitedly said “Yes!” Now their planning a wedding that will take place a decade after they made things facebook official, and I for one CANNOT wait to be there and see it all!

These two lovebirds made quite a trek for their engagement session and I’m SO glad they did! When Aly and I chatted and found out we were a little over 5 hours away from each other, we tried to figure out where would be best for engagement pics. When I told her about my in-laws property in Huntington, Indiana (that was 35 acres of beautiful pasture and amazing sunsets) she was all about traveling! So after a 4 hour drive to meet up, I finally got to meet these two face-to-face!

It couldn’t have been a more perfect night! The sun came out just when we needed it to, they looked amazing and to top it all off, Cody + Aly are ADORABLE together! I had such a blast hanging out and getting to know them better! So I’ll just be over here counting down the 395 days until I get to see them again!
