Ellis + Mitch had known of each other their whole lives, since their dads were roommates in college, but this love story didn’t start until much later! When the pretty blonde girl came on campus for her college visit, Mitch for the first time saw her as more than just “Mike’s daughter”. So he (cleverly) volunteered to show the new girl around seeing as they had a mutual connection. Apparently he did a great job with that tour because he won over Ellis pretty fast 😉 And the rest is history!

For their engagement shoot we went around the Chicago Museum Campus between the Field Museum and the Adler Planetarium. It was my first time over that direction in Chicago and I’m HOOKED! We had an absolute blast going between the different beautiful architecture, the amazing views of the skyline all while getting the best sunset we could have asked for! AND they even let me convince them to wade the ice cold water for some epic skyline sunset shots that were TOTALLY worth it!

I can’t say enough about Mitch + Ellis! From the moment you meet them and are greeted by a hug and their warm smiles, to the moment you’re saying goodbye, they make you feel like lifelong friends! It made my heart so happy to see how giddy Mitch made Ellis and how taken by her he was! Everything about them together testifies to a love that’s so much deeper than anything that can be seen on the outside! It’s was (and is) such a blessing to be able to be a part of capturing their BEAUTIFUL love story! I can’t wait until October 26th to finally see them tie the knot! It’s gunna be epic!!
