Stephanie + James | A Downtown Engagement Session in Indianapolis, Indiana
When they were both going to school to become doctors, they had a lot of study dates as friends. And that was all it was, until it wasn’t 😉 Before Stephanie + James knew it, their deep friendship was developing into something way more. So it officially all started over a morning donut date run (which to me any relationship that starts over donuts is bound to be a successful one, amiright?)
It didn’t take long for them to realize this was something very special! And they knew they didn’t want to be a part for their residencies, so they “couple matched”. Which I have come to learn is basically a low-key marriage proposal right then and there. Basically by couple matching you’re telling your potential residency school that if your significant other doesn’t get into the program, they don’t want in the program either. Which pretty much makes their story incredibly sweet and romantic. They didn’t care if others would think they were making a huge mistake, they just knew they had to be together!
And together they were! As they sat down at The Garden Table on Mass Ave and opened their letters, they celebrated as they both had gotten accepted to one of their top schools!
Now James and Stephanie have been living in Dallas, finishing their residency and preparing for their Fort Wayne Wedding this May! They flew in all the way from TX to Indianapolis so we could relive and reminisce in some of their favorite spots around town!
We went back to The Garden Table for them to look back on the moment they celebrated years ago. We walked the canal they had walked dozens of times when they lived there. And we ended by looking over the city that had brought them together!
I LOVED my time getting to know these two and their perfectly unique and beautiful story! I know I’m super biased but man oh man do I have the best brides and grooms on the planet!
Hope you enjoy some of my favorites from Stephanie + James’ downtown Indianapolis engagement session!!
