When Jia reached out to me with the idea of capturing her and Xihaier where they first fell in love and have spent the last decade, before they move out of state, I was all for it! These two met at the University of Notre Dame and have spent years working and being in the community here. So when Xihaier got a job recently that will move them out of state, they wanted to have photos to reminisce back on this place that means so much to them.

I absolutely loved getting to know them over our time together. I was able to get to hear the story of how even though they met here in South Bend, Indiana, they quickly found out that they are actually from the same area in China. Which was the first of many things that drew them together. Now they’re four years into marriage and have grown a life together that they love!
