Emily & Nick’s story is your classic medical love story. Nick was the doctor for one of Emily’s patients that she was the presiding nurse over. After only a few exchanges, it wasn’t hard for anyone to see that there was more than just a professional working relationship going on here. One thing led to another and dating led to love which led to Nick popping the question just two years later!

When we were trying to figure out a good place for the three of us to meet up in between Milwaukee, WI and South Bend, Indiana, we quickly decided that Chicago was a great place to explore for their engagement photos! And I’m so glad we did!

I absolutely loved getting to hang out with these two as we went to the Chicago Art Institute and then to North Avenue Beach. We ended just in time before it started to downpour which ended up being a fun way to end the session!

This was definitely one of those shoots where I’m reminded how absolutely amazing my couples are. I really loved being able to hang out with Nick and Emily so that when I get to be a part of the wedding day next year, I can come in as a friend!
