Kaitlyn & Garrett | A Hometown Engagement Session in Huntington, Indiana
This is a special one for me because Kaitlyn & Garrett aren’t just a super adorable #apcouple, but they’re also family!
I’ve known Kaitlyn for about the past 10 years between Tannan and I’s dating, engaged and married life. She’s grown up quite a bit in that time and it’s been so awesome to see the amazing woman she’s grown into! After Garrett & Kaitlyn’s high school relationship ended, they didn’t have any idea that their paths would cross again. But after living life a part and then life bringing them back together, it was no doubt this time was different. The friendship they share is so sweet and definitely one that will stand the test of time!
When I asked them where they wanted to do their engagement photos, it didn’t take Kaitlyn long to decide that they wanted to incorporate the family farm into it. Kaitlyn grew up showing cows at the Huntington County 4-H fair and it’s always been a big part of their families lives! The cows were very curious as to what exactly we were doing (ha!) but they made some fun additions to our time together!
After some time spent at the farm, we headed into town to Huntington’s park called Sunken Gardens. The rain was suppose to hold off, but met us near the end of the shoot. Which seemed inconvenient at the time, but ended up being such a fun adventure with them! They didn’t mind getting wet and I didn’t mind the “Notebook”esk feel that we were getting! So we embraced it and ended up with some of the best photos from our whole time together!
So thankful to be able to have an extra fun way to be a part of these family weddings! Can’t wait to celebrate these two next June 4th!
Hope you enjoy seeing some of my favorites from our time together below!
