Springtime University of Notre Dame Wedding

August 30, 2024

Keenan and Sean’s University of Notre Dame wedding was gorgeous, and they have such a fun love story. They grew up as neighbors and attended the same school, but it wasn’t until college they they fell for each other. Their families are best friends, making their wedding day truly special. They both went to University of Notre Dame, so it was incredibly special for them to return to the university for their wedding day.

Keenan and Sean grew up just a few miles from campus, and they were able to get ready in their childhood homes which was really special for them. I loved the classic details and the overall feel.

Keenan wore a beautiful long sleeved dress with lace detailing paired with a long veil with her hair left down. The look was traditional and perfectly suited for the setting. Sean kept his look classic with a black suit that complemented Keenan’s traditional style. I also loved the vintage car Keenan rode in to the University of Notre Dame. Sean and his groomsmen added a and unique touch with some playful portraits at Notre Dame Stadium!

Keenan and Sean’s Cathedral Basilica of The Sacred Heart wedding ceremony at Notre Dame was stunning. The look on Sean’s face as he watched Keenan walk down the aisle was incredibly sweet. Ceremonies in the cathedral always feel magical, and the architecture and intricate details add so much to the ceremony photos.

After the ceremony, we captured more portraits with the vintage car that Keenan and Sean had for their special day. It was the perfect addition to their classic wedding. Afterwards, they lit a candle together at the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes.

The McFaddens had a beautiful Notre Dame wedding reception in the Downes Ballroom. Their classic details perfectly matched the tradition of the university. The ballroom, located on the seventh floor of Corbett Family Hall on Notre Dame’s East side, seats 450, making it ideal for large weddings. The night began with a lovely cocktail hour, and Sean, Keenan, and I couldn’t resist heading to the rooftop for more portraits with views of Notre Dame.

Afterwards, we went right into reception. The evening was filled with heartfelt speeches, a beautiful first dance, and the fun of cutting into their five-tiered wedding cake. Keenan and Sean’s Notre Dame wedding was beautiful and they had a blast dancing the night away with their closest friends and family! It was truly an honor to be their Indiana wedding photographer.
