This editorial Middleton Place wedding shoot in Charleston, South Carolina was such a dream. While this was a styled shoot for my 5th annual Arielle Peters Photography workshop, I just know that it can give you all of the inspiration if you’re planning your own wedding at this stunning Charleston wedding venue. We had excellent wedding vendors who helped to bring the vision to life. So, if you’re looking for inspiration for a romantic, filmy, and old-timey wedding, keep scrolling, because this was gorgeous!

The Details & A Little About Middleton Place Wedding Venue in Charleston, South Carolina

The details from this Middleton Place wedding were so gorgeous, I can’t help but showcase them. Stationary was by the talented Maddie Ladig Designs, with flatlay styling done by Stephanie Abbitt.

I would also love to talk a little bit about this beautiful Charleston wedding venue. Middleton Place is a National Historic Landmark and a offers a setting that is incredibly beautiful for weddings. It offers sweeping views of Ashley River, beautiful old oak trees, manicured gardens, and gorgeous indoor and outdoor event spaces. On top of all of that, Middleton Place has a 55-room inn, making it perfect for weekend celebrations or even intimate gatherings with accommodations. When I was searching for a venue for this shoot, I knew Middleton Place was the ideal choice!

Outdoor Editorial Wedding Portraits in Charleston, South Carolina

Of course, we had to capture some shots of the beautiful bride and groom on the property of Middleton Place wedding venue. The bride wore a timeless Evalendel dress, while the groom wore a classic black tux from The Black Tux. We also rented a vintage white car from Low Country Valet for some of their portraits, which added an extra touch of elegance.

Romantic Outdoor Middleton Place Wedding Reception

Middleton Place provided a beautiful setting for an outdoor wedding reception. We had rentals from Curated Events Charleston, linens from BBJ Latovla, beautiful classic white florals by LB Floristry, and a two-tiered white cake by The Tenacious Tart! I loved how the reception setup turned out. It felt romantic and modern, and the color palette was perfectly cohesive.
