May 8th, 2016 will always hold a very special place in my heart from now on.

Each time I get to photograph a beautiful couple on their wedding day, I get so excited! However, this day was particularly special because I got to photograph that beautiful couple which also happened to be family. I’ve known Kelsey now for about 5 years (after starting to date her handsome cuz) and couldn’t be happier that the Lord has brought Chris into her life. Getting to hang out with Chris here and there at different family events was one thing, but getting to do their engagement pictures a few months back definitely solidified in my mind that these two are PERFECT for each other! Their humor, personality and friendship overflow from them and make them such a joy to be around. With all those components, mixed in with a beautiful white dress, family and friends and one of the best dance parties you’d ever been to, it made for a pretty amazing day!

We got super blessed with some amazing weather considering the week after and the week before weren’t exactly ideal. This intimate wedding, right in Kelsey’s own backyard, was definitely one for the books. Kelsey is studying design and it totally showed in each detail of the day! From the golden dinosaurs to the little potted succulents, the day was perfect! And don’t even get me started on how good that naked cake was!

So incredibly thankful to have been able to capture this day on camera!
