In my workshops I spend an entire session talking to my attendees about how important it is to work with your ideal clients, because working with people who you adore ends up being the thing that drives you. Whether it’s the long day where your feet feel like they could fall off by the end, or the thousands of wedding day photos to sort through after all is said and done, there’s a lot of things that can make this job taxing! So working with people you love makes all those things seem like a joy because you’re doing it for newfound friends!

Lara, Ivan and I first met at a coffee shop last year where they told me how they found each other and all about their love story! Their families have histories of “love-at-first-site” moments, so when they told me they only dated for 6 months before they were engaged, it all made sense! As we sat and talked I was more and more convinced that this was the kind of couple that I tell my workshop attendees about! They were the perfect picture of my ideal couple that I love working with.

Not only do they love each other deeply, they made you feel like an instant friend. I don’t know if I’ve worked with a couple that has given me more of their trust than these two!

Every time I was able to see these two, my love for them only grew! So by the third time, at their wedding, it was the ultimate high point of being able to celebrate this wedding day. Not just as a wedding vendor, but as a newfound friend; which made this already fun and joyful day even better!

Venue and Location

Saturday was one of the best parties I’ve witnessed as family and friends came from out of state and out of the country to be a part of what was taking place! The ceremony took place at The Inn at Harbor Springs in St. Joseph, Michigan. It was the perfect location for these two love birds to start their journey! Throughout the whole day, you could feel the love and joy in the air because of how people felt about Lara + Ivan! Which, if you’d interact with them for even a couple minutes, you’d instantly know why!

I am SO excited to say that these two can FINALLY call each other husband and wife and that their romantic love story has only just begun!
