Ron and Katherine’s summer wedding in Tuscany, Italy at Villa Petrea was an absolute dream to capture. This was actually an entire wedding weekend, with a sunrise session, a wine tasting night, and then a wedding celebration. Villa Petrea was new to opening it’s doors to weddings, and it provided such a sweet and intimate space for Ron, Katherine, and their very closest friends and family.

Outdoor Sunrise Portraits at Chapel Vitaleta in Siena, Italy

Ron and Katherine had a full wedding weekend for their wedding in Tuscany, Italy. To start off their wedding weekend, we went to Chapel Vitaleta in Siena for a sunrise session. Chapel Vitaleta is an iconic spot in Italy, and for good reason. It truly is so stunning, and the way the sun was peeking up from behind the trees was so romantic.

Ron & Katherine’s Portraits in Pienza, Italy

After sunrise portraits at Chapel Vitaleta, we then made our way to Pienza, Italy where Katherine wore a short elegant chic white dress which was perfect for a warm summer day here in Italy. We walked around the cute little town of Pienza, and then made our way over to Pienza Cathedral which offered the most beautiful backdrop for portraits.

Wine Tasting Night at Poggio Molina – A Family Owned Winery

The morning before the rehearsal dinner, Ron, Katherine and their guests enjoyed a wine tasting night at a nearby family owned winery, Poggio Molina. The manor on this wine farm dates back to 1700, making it a location rich in history. It offered a beautiful location for Ron and Katherine to host their guests, enjoy great wine and food, with views of the sprawling vineyards.

The Details & Getting Ready at Villa Petrea in Tuscany, Italy

Katherine and Ron got ready separately at Villa Petrea. This villa is absolutely gorgeous and is a 17th century mansion. Katherine worked with a bridal design company and her dress was custom made and had a detachable skirt. Her makeup was done by Silvia Gerzeli and the entire look was gorgeous.

First Looks & Portraits From a Summer Wedding in Tuscany, Italy at Villa Petrea

Villa Petrea made for the perfect backdrop for Ron and Katherine’s first looks. The Tuscany setting with the textured stone, cypress trees and classic white convertible car really made for a romantic backdrop with views of the Tuscan countryside and even the hills of Chianti off in the distance. I loved Katherine’s lush bouquet by Stiatti Fiori. The entire look felt elegant and timeless.

A Beautiful Outdoor Ceremony From a Summer Wedding in Tuscany, Italy at Villa Petrea

This Villa Petrea wedding ceremony was beautifully setup. Coordination was done by the talented Above and Beyond Tuscan Weddings with rows of chairs, sunning floral arrangements, the backdrop of olive trees, rolling hills, and the Chianti hills. I don’t think the setting could have been any more romantic than it was.

Romantic Wedding Portraits in The Hills of Tuscany, Italy

After their intimate wedding ceremony, we then set off to get more portraits just before sunset. Surrounding the venue there are dirt roads that lead off into the surrounding woods, and beautiful little locations with stunning views of the village of Bucine.

Outdoor Summer Wedding Reception From a Wedding in Tuscany, Italy at Villa Petrea

Ron and Katherine ended the night with their closest friends and family with the most beautiful outdoor reception at Villa Petrea. The decor was elegant, romantic, and had beautiful string lights overhead.

Both Ron and Katherine had different attire. Katherine wore a beautiful second dress and Ron had a second jacket. Each detail was intentionally designed to bring excellent taste through their outfits, the wine, meals, and desserts.

It was truly such a beautiful setting, and the band that they had, Britpops Event Band, was so much fun. At the end of the night, they all jumped into the pool! Overall, this summer wedding in Tuscany, Italy at Villa Petrea was perfect, and I’m so honored to have been a part of their wedding weekend celebration!
