The umbrella’s were packed and my rain coat was on for this stormy Saturday wedding, but none of it was needed because from the second I stepped onto the venues site, everything had cleared up and the Lord had provided us with all the sunshine and good weather we could have asked for!! Which was wonderful because The Pond in Nappanee, Indiana has all the beautiful landscape you need for some awesome portraits!

Amy + Adam stood hand in hand on August 27th and committed themselves to each other in front of all their family and friends! It was such a blessing to be able to capture this portion of their sweet love story on camera!! Not only is it evident that these two love each other, but it’s so clear that they have such a fun friendship! I kept looking over at my second shooter, Steph, their whole first dance just mouthing “their soooo cute” over and over again! It always is such a beautiful thing to see true joy and excitement exuding a bride and groom on their big day!

Between the greens, tans, ivories and blush pinks for this day, everything was natural and played off the surroundings so well! There’s definitely something I just love about earth tones and simplicity that is so so beautiful! And talk about a family that is good with their hands and creating things, Amy’s dad made their head table for the reception (which had me and Steph wanting to call to have him make one for us), Adam made their wedding bands, and everyone was pitching in pulling greenery for their runners on the tables!! It definitely was a family affair to get this all put together which makes it even that much more special!!
