Not many were sure that James or Mary would find someone that held the same high standards of faith as they did individually! Their devotion to their Catholic roots permeates everything about these two and makes them who they are, which are two of the most joyful and caring couples I’ve had the privilege of knowing. Little did anyone know the Lord had planned the most perfect union for them!

Just this year James proposed to Mary! And it was only a couple months ago that they planned everything out and were set to fly back to the University of Notre Dame, where James attended, to get married with a small group of family and friends at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Shout out to Angie at Belle Behind the Ball for helping them execute a beautiful day on such short notice!

It was a quickly planned wedding during a pandemic and some family health issues, but that made it incredibly meaningful and weighty! There were lots of tears and kleenexes throughout the day as we all watched her dad walk her down the isle and dance at their reception. A reality they didn’t know would be able to happen only months before.

It was such a privilege to watch these two newfound friends commit forever to each other! If they even maintain an ounce of the joy they had on their wedding day, their marriage is bound to be full of amazing memories ahead!
