Mr. + Mrs. Layman | A Hometown Wedding at Dear John Acres

October 13, 2020

A couple weeks ago I headed down to Wabash, Indiana to celebrate Abby + Ryan finally being able to tie the knot! This wedding was extra special because Abby is actually my cousin! With being born only a couple months apart, we’ve known each other forever! So it was so exciting to be able to be a part of this day (and this engagement time) in a special way!

Getting to know Ryan even better over this time has allowed me to see what a sweetheart he is and how thankful I am she found someone so perfect for her! They met when Ryan was a senior in high school and Abby was helping assist as a cheer coach for Ryan’s team. But they didn’t make a true connection until later after he graduated and she saw him more as a man who made her laugh and who she could talk forever with.

Their friendship together is so fun to watch and watching them truly enjoy each other on their big day was the best, AND made my job super easy!

We started and ended the day at their new house that they had just finished remodeling this year! The house and property had been owned by his grandparents, so it was extra special having the girls be able to get ready there! And then across the street was the cutest barn that the family has turned into a wedding venue called Dear John Acres!

After getting married at their hometown church, they came back to dance the night away across from their house at the reception! This day was perfect and was so them! Super excited they finally get to share each others last names and start their forever together!

Hope you enjoy some of my favorites from their day!
