Year four of my AP Photography Workshop is a wrap and I can’t wait to take you behind the curtain to see how amazing this year was!

I always share this each year and I’ll share it again, but I’m just so thankful that the Lord has allowed this dream of mine to come into reality. About 5 years go I dreamt of bringing ladies in for a two-day in-person experience to teach them about all the things I had learned in my photography business so far! 4 years later and I’m still pinching myself that this is now what I get to consider a part of my job! These women come in to learn from me, but end up blessing me more than they’ll ever know!

We had the most seasoned photographers we’ve ever had at the workshop which led to some great discussion and some awesome aha moments! If photographers ever ask me for one piece of advice to grow their business, my answer is always “education.” Education is by far the biggest catalyst I’ve invested in in my business. I would absolutely not be where I am today without others opening up and blessing me with their wisdom. And I’m so incredibly grateful to be able to do that with these ladies!

A little bit of a breakdown of the workshop goes like this… the first evening they came in for the welcome night and mingled and ate some yummy food. Then it was off to get a good nights rest to be ready to take on the next two days! Monday was filled with 4 sessions all about shooting and editing, an amazing styled shoot with industry leading vendors that helped to build the ladies portfolio and a styled dinner that was straight out of a magazine! Then Tuesday held 5 sessions that covered all things business, some updated headshots for the ladies and then it was time for goodbyes which is always the hardest part!

Each year keeps getting better and better! And next year is the big 5th anniversary of the start of these workshops, so we plan to go really big for it!
