After eight years of dating and engagement, Rob finally was able to call Ashley his wife!! And between their pure excitement and raw emotion the whole day, it was pretty apparent that they were very, VERY ready for that day to be here!

After meeting these two last August for their engagement session, I got to learn all about their story and fall in love with who they were together! As freshman at Purdue, they came in ready to have fun, learn a little 😉 and make tons of memories! Little did they know that after only a short amount of time, they’d catch each others eye and those memories would be filled with each other!

Since I had spent a couple hours falling in love with them from the engagement session, I was so excited to finally get to hang out for an entire day for their wedding! And not only for the sheer fact that they had become new friends, but because I was so excited for where they decided to tie the knot!!

They had chosen to have a true downtown Indianapolis wedding and get ready at the Omni Hotel, married in the courthouse and party the night away at the Indy Artsgarden downtown. It.was.a.blast! And so so beautiful!!

Indy allows you to take the whole “getting married at the courthouse” situation to another level by having a beautiful set up on their main floor with all the amazing architecture around you! Then we headed to the Indy Artsgarden which is completely enclosed in windows! So basically we had amazing light (which this natural light photographer loved!!) and then a fun atmosphere as they partied underneath the stars!

Everything about this day was so special, but my favorite was watching them read their vows to each other, back to back, before seeing one another for the first look! They weren’t the only ones tearing up during those! Ashley + Rob are so so sweet together and I’m so thankful to have been a part of capturing their first day as husband and wife!!
